The first annual run to raise scholarship money for the Steve Sims Leadership Award was a huge success.  Over 200 runners and walkers turned out on a beautiful day for the 2003 Simsonian 5k Kick Off Classic.  Bill Stevenson and his crew did a masterful job of preparing for this event and it went off without a hitch.  Trophies and medals were awarded to the winners in different categories and many prizes donated by local businesses were given in drawings after the run.  Volunteers along the run route (a favorite Sims route) cheered on runners, gave out water and played Buffett CD's.  Thank you to our generous run sponsors:  The Pepsi Foundation, Lloyd's, Wheat and Rye, and many others whose contributions helped make the first annual Simsonian 5k Kick Off Classic possible.
