The first annual Steve Sims Leadership Award was presented to a graduating Senior who excelled in academics, basketball and track and field.  She was also active in her community with involvement in several organizations such as Friends of the Detroit River.  She has been described by friends, teachers and administrators as a leader and someone who gets things done.  The 2003 Steve Sims Leadership Award in the amount of $2,000.00 was presented to Lauren Strong.  Lauren is attending Owens College in Ohio.  Congratulations Lauren!
